Relationships are the backbone of good business and that’s exactly what the monthly Kalispell Chamber of Commerce UNWIND events were designed to foster. Each month, a chamber member — or two — volunteers to host an after hours gathering for local movers and shakers to connect, socialize and learn more about each other’s businesses.
This past Tuesday evening, Big Sky Public Relations was fortunate to partner with hospitality design specialists, InnSpace for our very first UNWIND event. Well over 100 members of the Flathead Valley turned out for the affair and we were thrilled. It was beyond rewarding to help provide an avenue for locals to connect with one another, and also to share more about our line of work.
Perhaps most importantly, the Tuesday's UNWIND was a chance to get face time, one-on-one with members of the Kalispell community. In an age where communications is increasingly dominated by digital technology, we can’t forget the value of good old human interaction. It’s one of the greatest joys in this line of work — whether that’s meeting with potential new clients, sitting down with stakeholders or facilitating community discussions.
The Big Sky PR crew is already looking forward to the next UNWIND event — and to take part in the community dialogue that goes along with it!
